CCEE1711, National Button Week

Lynn says National Button Week is comping up, so make use of buttons or faux buttons on your project or creation.  Perhaps that might be a specially made box or jar in which to keep some of your buttons.

I have no imagination when it comes to sewing or buttons, so I made a very simple CAS card.  Hope you do better than I!

CCEE1710, National Bubble Week

Lynn carries on as March hostess.....she says:

"It is National Bubble Week.  This might include making use of a technique like painting with bubbles (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VOCt5basPM) or bubble wrap on a brayer, or a bubble or image of children blowing bubbles.  Use your imagination for whatever way this brings to mind for you."

I chose this beautiful fish floating amid bubbles.  It is so shiny in real life and much prettier than this photo shows.  Hope you like it.

CCEE1709, Old Stuff

Lynn takes over as hostess for March.  She says in honor of "Old Stuff" day, make a card or project making use of some of your earliest stamps, or use old supplies in your stash, or a vintage image of something from the past.

I needed a card for an elderly man's birthday and thought this was the perfect time to use this "old car"!  I think he will get a kick out of it!

CCEE1708, Tic-tac-toe

For Liz's last challenge, she gave us a tic-tac-toe board and we were to choose three vertical, horizontal or diagonals on the grid and use those 3 for our card.

I chose:

Fancy Fold
A wild animal
and dry or wet embossing (I used both...the trees are wet embossed)

This card is a Tri-fold shutter for my Fancy Fold, a deer for my wild animal
and used a Darice Embossing Folder and black embossing powder.

This will be my son's birthday card this year.  He is a hunter.  He is also going to be 54...now, how the heck did that happen!!!!

Won't you join in?  Surely, you have a friend who will have a birthday and then, you'll have the card ready!

Please add CCEE1707 to splitcoaststampers keywords and link back to the CCEE blog so we can see your pretty card!

CCEE1706, Valentine's Day

Liz carries on as February hostess.  This week she says that Valentine's Day is in 5 days.  It's time to show a little love by making homemade Valentines.  The challenge is a color challenge this week to use:  red, black, and white.  As a bonus, add a glimmer of silver.

I have made a friend with a little six year old who HAD cancer in her eye.  Thanks to the prayers of many, at this point, she is cancer free.  But, I had been sending her cards with google eyes and she fell in love with them.  So, this card was made for little Emily.

Have a Happy Valentine's Day ...  and join in the challenge.  Please add your card to our blog, CCEEStampers here.  Add keywords CCEE1706 if posting on splitcoast stampers.

Have a fun day!
